Buddy of mine is set on a polaris. 250 lbs, 6 3" loves crushing deep snow and not getting stuck. Definitely not an ultimate hill climber or ultra technical. He has a 2017 with a 2.6" polaris 163? and it stinks. Loves to trench regardless of suspension.

I keep pushing him to a 3".

Thoughts?

I have enjoyed both the cat and doo tracks. Polaris I just dont have much seat time on any of the their different tracks.

Go with 2.6 sled with belt drive and then add a X3 or powerclaw or better yet the 165 3.5” pitch would be the money combo.

The best answer is a 174" track. Like the one I am selling in the Polaris for sale section of this forum.

The later 2.6 tracks are decent (2019+). The earlier ones not so much as they were clipped incorrectly and had to be run super tight. They fell apart. Shouldn’t trench unless the suspension isn’t set up right. Agree with others a 174 is awesome or something aftermarket with an anti stab and drivers so the track can be run loose.
