I have a 1991 Polaris Indy 500 just had it serviced n it ran great then started bogging on me. I started to get frustrated n not enjoying myself. Then I was out on a ride n my sled quit! Now I have the motor tore apart n realized a bearing is gone under the left piston! What would cause that??

42 years on a snowmobile engine is even better. :d:beer: my 740 is running like a queen and just about ready for retirement. Just an occasional lap around the farm or the creek is all it sees. One day will restore it to as good of condition it can get.

Hey brother!!!! just finished a rebuild on my sons 91 500 indy. 144 SKS. Bad fuel (detonation) my bad. complete Wisco top end with gaskets and seals bored .020 over was less than 600 bucks. All good and did a major clean up and repaint under the hood with new hoses and vent lines. Looks clean and runs great.
