So guys what is the hot clutch setup for a 190hp turbo Nytro running at 2500ft to 6500ft? There is a great thread for the higher HP Nytro so lets see what works for the low boost sleds.

I'l be running this setup. Ran it on a Ulmer kit so I'm thinking it should be as good with the 190 MCX

8BU weights, fully loaded with steel rivets
Orange-Pink-Orange primary spring
14.5mm rollers

Shockwave helix, 1/2 turn out
EPI purple secondary spring 1-0

20-40 gearing

I have the same primary setup but 43 helix and green cat secondary spring 1-0. What does 1/2 turn on shockwave equal. 19/40 gearing

From the Shockwave page:
The ramp angles can be adjusted anywhere from 42° to 58°. The Adjustable-Ramp Helix fits Yamaha snowmobiles (1995-2012, most models).
Each full rotation of the adjuster ring is approximately 4 degrees. Thus, each 1/4 rotation is approximately 1 degree. Turn the adjuster ring clockwise to raise RPM; turn the adjuster ring counter clockwise to lower RPM.

So 1/2 turn out would be about 44 degrees...

I have the 190 mcx installed on my 2008 MTX 153". I'm running the EPI purple, 8bu loaded, and I'm hitting the Rev limiter ALOT.
Any other options or input?

Just call Tom Hartman he rocks !!! He will get you dialed in with your set-up. Strongly recommend that you call him. He got my sled clutched perfectly with a mpi kit at 6 psi turbo.

would like the details on that mpi setup at 6psi, right now mine is primary G-W-G, secondary P-P, 41 deg helix @ 60 twist and hitting rev limiter pretty good at low elevation, not sure how that would change going up in elevation.
If anyone has thier mpi turbo dialed in for 7-8psi at 6500ft elevation I would sure love to hear the clutch setup

Primary - blue/white/blue
14.5 Rollers
MCX weights - 77.8 grams
Secondary - Arctic Cat Purple wound to 0-1
39* Helix
18-40 Gearing
162" Camo Extreme Track
I'm a big guy, probably close to 300lbs with all gear on.

This setup seems to run pretty strong for me, good belt life as well. One thing i haven't tried is changing the helix, does anyone think there would be a benefit of switching to a 43* helix. I do rev a bit high, around 9000rpm usually, would changing that helix bring my rpm's down just a bit?
