I have a gen4 with 1941 Miles on it, my track is coming apart in various locations behind the lugs. I limit my speeds on the trail to 60 miles per hr. I have filed for brp warranty today and see what they say, i’m finding almost every lug is starting to crack on the backside.

Living life at the Lake!
His lugs started breaking in half as well the track let go in places. Stitched it up for his last ride before he put his new track on.

Kanedog 2015-2019, thanks for the good times S&M!
If they give you grief about running too fast then let them know that the sled is geared to run at 122kmh fully shifted out.
It's not your fault the track is a specially designed slow speed track.

I honestly kept my speeds not much higher than 60 mph i watched when going down trail, as i had a track come apart on my turbo nytro and camoplast asked me and they did warranty that track as i had lost most of my lugs.

Let me know how that turns out Ron.
I have some smaller cracks starting on my track and bearings gone on upper idler wheels.
Part of piano string tight tracks for 6 tooth drivers.......this was predicted on that thread that got pulled last year.
2400km on my sled, rarely ran it over 80kph.
There will soon be more delaminating.
I have had great dealer support but not holding breath on this one.

I’m leaving this with martin west and they are submitting warranty claim. Let’s see how this plays out. Brp already spent 8k on this sled.

Looks like your track is installed backwards

the old camo tracks did the same thing when you ran 7tooth drivers and tension was too loose. As it rounded the drivers the lateral forces really strain the bonding.

or in the case of some 4s guys running big boost there track speeds where big enough to cause the same effect

Good luck, there is lots of threads on the G4 track issues. BRP will tell you is a wear item, just like they made the shocks a wear item.

The 6t 3.5 pitch is the same diameter as the 7t 3.0 pitch. Imo the T3 track is more durable.
This is One of the issues with the bigger pitch track. More stress is put on the paddle cause there is less lugs to take the load.

If I’m riding a groomed trail that’s frozen I never exceed 70 km. If my paddles are at least sinking in the snow I will do 80 km. My track looks like new still. I hope the warranty that track for you

I have 2600km now and in the last 100km lost 4 lugs. No warranty! BRP says I must have overheated the track. 20180319_205329.jpg 20180319_183335.jpg 20180319_205138.jpg 20180319_205119.jpg

Well if yah overheated the track yah must of destroyed the sliders. Lol.

Humm overheating tracks and drive belts.

BRP cares will do nothing for yah as well. Classic response of once a decision is made on a claim it cannot be reversed.

Mine is worse and was denied warranty. Good luck.

The 850 ownership experience has prevented me from snow checking a new sled this year.
