How much difference is there between th sp and x
Not sure which way to go. 2013 x models are listed at 9500 and up on kiijji

2014 around 11500 and up.
I can get a brand new 800 163 sp for just over 12000 otd with $ 250 in accessories
Not really sure which way to go

Pretty sure the only differences are the handlebars and colors. The only incentive for me to snow check was because of the the 4 year warranty. I would go with the SP over those 13-14 x's.

Better value in the SP at that price and brand new.
IMO
The X has better shocks
Steel braided brake line
Lighter A arms and few other small things.

Tteam or Maxwell will fill in any thing I have forgotten.
Good luck with your purchase.

5lbs lighter
(sp has braided brake line)
And a few strategically placed x's. Lol

Does the sp come with powder coated boards and tunnel

That's the thing I like the most, snow don't stick and no polishing

They all have the same a arms. They all have the same braided brake line.

Yes the sp tunnel is black. If you see an xm chassis woth a bare to tunnel, it is a sport model and has a carbureted engine

X's are aluminum bodied shocks vs SP steel body. I would prefer the steel body shocks due to less maintenance. For the price of the 2015 SP, it is a pretty easy decision.

Yup, easy decision. Plus Ive heard the 15s frickin rip compared to the 13s and 14s. Was a noticeable difference from 13 to 14 too. Combine that with full warranty, no chance of someone pawning off a lemon, the joy of picking up a brand new sled, and better resale.

If I go ahead it will be new for sure

not sure what dealer to buy from

wetskiwin motorsports or turple bros ( turples is super close but lots of horror stories on chitty service)

Wetaskiwin motorsports is a bit of a drive (blackfalds ) heard lots of good about these guys

i also tried gateway in rocky but there pricing was quite a bit higher

I've bought from Wetaskiwin before. Good to deal with. There is a difference in the functions of the gauge cluster between the sp and x. Not sure of all of them but i believe the hand and thumb warmers on the sp are high low and off. The X has 8 different levels. I think the sp doesn't have the engine temp bars, just a light.

Th xp used to come with an upgraded cluster in the snowcheck, I don't believe so anymore my '14 sp came with temp module, full range on hand/thumb warmer, altimeter, etc. Someone said it on page 1 I think, The only difference is the bars and the shocks, and the colors/graphics. For me the decision was easy, shocks were coming off regardless. get the sp dude

The prices are awesome right now on the sp's. If you take the price spread between the sp and x and reinvested that difference into the sp, you would have one stout xm.
