I got a bought a switchback IQ with a 144 track on it last year and at first I thought it might be like driving a school bus compared to a 121. Now I won't have anything shorter then a 144.

I hope that you are planning on putting a tunnel extension on.. They are cheap and easy t odo. Because from the looks of the set-up right now if you tail plant or land hard on the back of the rear susp you may very well tear up the back end of your sled. As well as the current set-up msy hinder your cooling as alot of snow will probably not hit the cooler as it'll just go straight out the back.. But other than that it's lookin good.. We sell tunnel ext's for like 130.00 JUst my thoughts

I threw in part of an old mud flap and it is quite angled away. I did it after the pics were taken, I will try that and if it doesn't work then I will add an extension, thanks again for your thoughts!

once u run it and r unhappy with the top end u may consider going back to the stock gearing. might be to like at elevation but on the flatlands that 800 should have plenty of power to roll that 136 just fine. My 2 cents that may only be worth a penny:d

X2 on Papa. 800's have plenty enough power to spin a 136". I would actually try both gears in the same day if you have time, and see which one you like.

last year i got a 600 switchback with a 144 track and i was wondering if it would be worth taking it to the mountains? I know that it won't be doing any climbing, but i just wanna play around in some POW. Would it be worth putting a more aggressive track (2") on it or am i just wasting my time and money with the 600?

My freind has a 2005 switchback with a 600, it kicks my but! He went with a 2 1/4 finger track and now he beats most 800's and gives his brothers 1000 a challenge. I would keep it and get a larger track. Thats just my opinion.

Thanks man, i think i will. just to be clear though, the 600 has enough power in the deep snow to turn a 2 1/4" inch track? or are major clutch mods needed?

I don't believe you need major clutch work, perhaps heavier weights or gearing down may be an option.

if i were you i would go at least with the 144, i didnt notice much of a handling or turning difference at all, when i went from 136 to 144 when they came out, even 151 aint bad until you hit the 159 - 163ish.
i had 4 verticlals and rmk's, tuned right they did great back then.
just look at the ditch banging sledsmmost use 144, most versitile
