13 e start HID conversion check engine light on

I installed Retro Solutions 35w 5000k HID's on my 13 estart and my check engine light comes on. I haven't actually had the code checked, yet. I talked to my dealer, they didn't haven't much to say other than that it's because of my HID lights (no kidding, lol).

Also had a grey film on the interior lense that was very hard to clean off.

Anyone know what the code would be? Can the computer possibly be reflashed or something?

had a friend install HID aswell and same problems. but i think his sled actually had running issues

Are the lights wired to the battery for power with a relay or are they powered right from the wire harness that plugs into the factory bulbs ?

Factory harnes signals the relays which allows power from the battery to the ballasts

Huh.... Well that's the way I have seen it work correctly before. Seems like if you try and power the ballasts from the factory harness is when you get problems. But not in this case for you. Good luck buddy, hope you get it figured out.
