1000 summit X advise please

my buddy has a 06 1000 that has a piston failer for sale he will take $1000, i dont own a sled but have rode many different sleds in the mountains and have always perfered the summit over the polaris. the machine its self is mint with reverse, electric start fox susp. how is this machine in the hills overall? what mods can be done to make it kick ass? has anyone put an 800 in this chassis?

162" 3" track 8 tooth drivers, put a thermostat in it, some clutching work and hold it to the pin.

i just got on a 1000. they are heavier, but not as heavy as a yammy, huge power, and decent on fuel and oil for size of eng. ride really nice and seems to climb ok. quite a bit out there for parts. decent sled and for that price you ccan even part it out and get your money back and more. i will pm you a number for a guy that has a new complete for sale as well. buy it and ride it imo.
