Does anyone have any high kms yet. WONDERING WHAT TO EXPECT FOR RELIABILITY
We pull about 10,000lbs. One of my issues with the F350 10 speed is that yes, it will try and stay in 10th, but on some hills I find the amount of speed loss is too much before it kicks down to 9th. On occasion I find myself helping it out by hitting the manual button, forcing it into 9th. I would like to see less speed loss before it shifts down on its own.I've only got 30,000km but not a hiccup, which there shouldn't be! The 10 speed is awesome, never looking for a gear, pulling a 7000lb load up a hill at 100km/h it usually stays in 10th gear might go to 9th, so much power in these new diesels.
I thought that was the whole point of the 10 speeds, so it would stay at optimal rpm's for efficiency? Really the more power/torque that you have, in theory the less gears you should need.We pull about 10,000lbs. I’ve had a 2020 now a 2021 f350 6.7, i pull 8000-14000 regularly the transmission does not shift to 9th ever it goes 10th to 8th every time no lag after 3-4 kph drop shifts and goes, is even more responsive if I put in tow haul which I usually don’t, big improvement over the 17-18-19 f350 6 speeds I had.We pull about 10,000lbs. Yes very good mileage on the 10 sp fordsHigher overdrive on these 10 speeds? Mileage any better? I find my Ford is generally not as fuel friendly as the prior Duramaxs
My brothers 2021 6.7 crew lariat srw gets 10.5L on highway, 12L around town its a crazy jump from my 17 that couldn't get better than 15L under ideal circumstances. He does have 3.31 vs 3.55 which makes about 100 rpm difference at highway speed.I have 3.55s I think 3.31 would be the better choice for mileage but I get long term 14.3L / 100. my 6 speeds were 14.8 or so. Where i can get crazy mileage is slow driving if at 90kmh can get under 10L/100.
Interesting, but I see you have the 3.55. Mine has the 3.31. Going to see if there is an update. I use tow haul when hooked up to the trailer.I’ve had a 2020 now a 2021 f350 6.7, i pull 8000-14000 regularly the transmission does not shift to 9th ever it goes 10th to 8th every time no lag after 3-4 kph drop shifts and goes, is even more responsive if I put in tow haul which I usually don’t, big improvement over the 17-18-19 f350 6 speeds I had.
it’s possible to get those numbers but 10.5 would be 100kmh do not pass anything. 12-13 is realistic for me at 115-120 on qe2.My brothers 2021 6.7 crew lariat srw gets 10.5L on highway, 12L around town its a crazy jump from my 17 that couldn't get better than 15L under ideal circumstances.
