09 XP change imperial gauges to metric

I bought an 09 800 from Martin's last year and the gauges are in imperial. They said the gauges can't be changed to metric. Does anyone know if this to be true or is there some way of converting them over?

I've got an 09 when i picked mine up in wetaskiwin they were in mph asked about it took it back in and changed it. took about 5 min.

Martin on the west end changed mine to metric in 2008

they just change it in the computer, the guy probably didnt know what he was talking about

Yup they can change it. I had my 2010 changed from metric to imperial becouse the altimeter was in metres and only changed at 100 meter intrevels so now that it is in feet it changes every 100 feet, much more accurate. As accurate as they can be I guess

So there's your answer ............. gauges can definitely be changed however it must be done by the dealer. Shop around, some are saying 30 min and charging accordingly.
