If you own an xp already you probably won't like the M8. They have two totally opposite steering systems. The M8 has a flat steer and doesn't dip, as where the skidoo's bars dip down when you turn. I prefer the M8 for handling over the xp, but that's what I learnt to ride on and I'm not brand biased either. The 09 xp makes a lot more power than the 09 M8, but the 2010 M8 is 160hp and is a waaay better sled than the 09 M8. So long as your in the hill's having fun, buy whatever suits the budget. They are both great.

if you can get the hang of flat steering there both good sleds. if you end up bumping up a year the 2010 xps are greatly improved (handling) over the 2009.

come to valemount yyou ill show you which ones work best!

i have had both 09 m8 and 09 XP,both have pros and cons,i did like the power the XP had over the m8,handling i liked the m8 alittle better. The xp likes to stay pretty flat where i find the m8 was alot easier to lay over.I installed some spindle spacers and that improved the steering for sure.If looking at the m8 maybe consider the 010 just because of the extra HP they added that year, plus Cat EFI...I am not bias to any sled either as now i have snowchecked a new Polaris Assault 155,but i think what ever buy u will like and enjoy..
