08 m1000 snopro

I have a M1000SnoPro with a full D&D exaust y pipe,mid pipe,big dog barker muffler and 2 degree timing key with a boondocker box. My play ground is 0 to 3500 feet and i got number of d&d last winter but they wer in the minus and i end up burning a ring it is fixed noew with a set of egt koso gauges.I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for some good starter numbers for sea level or flat land. :confused:

i put an slp kit on my 08 m1000 and with the # they give me i would get hot if i sustained mid range rpm with low position throttle for more than 10sec but i had the egt installed and was able to tweak the #s to get the temps down so probalbly now with egts you can see the hot spots and adjust to correct. It won't take too much messing around and you will find the problem areas so good luck.also check your oiling rate because that could spank a ring also.

1500 feet to 8500 feet. i use these. i find after 8500 i need to richen up a bit as i find the factory ecu compensates too much in higher elevations. These are my numbers, speedwerx exhaust and y pipe. I have no timing key,
sled runs flawless. I used exhaust gauges to get these numbers and they are very similar to lindermens numbers.

Don't mean to hijack but, How do you tell if you have the 08 or 09 mapping? I have a 08 M1000, with intake, Speedworks y, pipe and can. Thanks

Typically if it has been updated they put a sticker on your ecu that says the date of the update. I think if you have had it in for service usually they would have asked if you wanted it updated but for me i bought my 08 m1000 as a non-current so it was updated already when i picked it up.
