08 800R Engine Removal

Removed my motor today and ended up cutting two wires on the mag side of the motor. They ran into a plug and out into the block. Wire colours were red and black into the plug, where I cut them, and 3 yellows coming out of the same plug going to the motor. The wires entered the motor on the bottom rear side of the case. What are these wires for, and what have people done to fix this problem. Did I have to cut these or was there another way? Any info appreciated. Thanks

where those wires go into the plug, you can use a pick and release them from inside the plug. then they will go through the hole where they connect to the stator pickups when you take it off.

Cut them and throw a quick connect plug on. That's what I do to all of them
