08 700 blew up polaris

was in blue on the weekend goin into holy grail. about 17 km in crank snapped. got about 2000 miles on.anybody else have this happen? this is the 3rd 700 thats blown up out of my group that rides.

I have about 1200 miles on mine and haven't had any problems. How many miles were on the other sleds that failed and were they crank failures as well?

I have had two go down on me. My 08 700 RMK took out the PTO side piston at about 1700 mi., lean burn down. The dealer could not figure out why it went down,no codes everything checked out normal. So i traded it on an 09 800 assault, but thats another story ( I'm a sucker for punishment).
The wife has a 08 700 switchback, it went down with what the dealer called catastrophic engine failure (rod tried to exit the case).This happened at about 2400 mi. Polaris installed a new long block in that one, four year warranty.
Bought a 09 600 Etec Summit as a spare, can't trust these new CFI polaris's to make it the whole season.

the other 2 sleds leaned out. the 700's have a bad lean spot at 6000 rpm just like the 800's. gettin sick of being worried about blowin up sleds.

:dFind your self a M7....Ive got over 4500km on mine did a compression test this year and had look at pistions and im running 130psi in each cylinder and not a single scuff on either piston ...After this season i will have close to 6000kms and im not worried about mine blowing up what so ever.

I have close to 7000 KM on my 08 700, rode mountains plus flat lands, no problems at all

hI DID YOUR MECHANIC check the fuel fillter, because the XP's are having trouble with their with this problem and are leanning out and blowing up so u might try change the fuel filter a little more often.

i got a 08 rmk 600 155 last year engine light came on so took it to the dealer in edson an he told me that one piston was scuffed an slowy going he said it was due to my left handlebar warmer shorted out wich did something to my pto piston but i have a hard time beilveing that
jus thought id tell ya

X2 on the lean spot at 6000.

My 800 is down for v.r., ecu, and pistons again. I don't think I can ever trust this motor again.

that would suck blowin up almost to the grail, that place is insane.
