I'm currently working on a friends Vinson, after a bunch of long over do maintaince.
I just had it out for a good rip & after an hour of pounding.
I never heard the fan come on
Just wondering, if there are any other fuses other than under the seat.
Or if they have a problems with there fans, or possibly a recall???
I don't have a manual of any sort, just flyin by the seat of my pants. LOL

Thanks in advance.

I was comparing it to my 700, it's fan would have came on in 20 mins or so.
Maybe with being a 500, it takes longer. No... the temp light didn't come on, or did it over heat. Maybe I'll take it out again this afternoon & try to work harder.
I texted the owner last night & she said she had never had a problem with it.

easy test is to put power to the fan if it comes on it should be good or you can let the quad run for 30-45 min it should prob come on then.

we have nt had any issues in the past with the vinsons heating... i know that Cat flip flopped back and forth for a few yrs with there temp sensor...one yr the fan was on as soon as the unit was running next yr not...it was a bit of a pain...but the suzukis were no issues....

give me a call if you need any specs i would be glad to help out my brother...:d:d

It takes more than 20 minutes for the fan to kick on in my 800 outlander at +30c outside. I think you need to clean the rad on the ole 700 Doug. Lol

Unplug the fan and hook some direct power to it with a jumper wire and see if she spins.

My Cat has always been like that. Right from day one out of the shop. the rad was washed & rinsed before I put it away for the winter

I'm going to try the jump, as well as what Terry mentioned. Thanks Darcy :D

I took the Vinson out yesterday, and kept it under load.
The fan did finally come on, but the thing is soooo quiet.
You can barely hear it running.

Thanks, for the help & advise   :D
