were the harness connects to the ecm pull that apart and put some dyeletic grease in the connection problem solved

what happens if this is not done......run rough...electrical problems....

water can corrode the connection thus making it run rough or it will quit. its not a bad idea to put the grease in all the connections

We learned the hard way that there is a little opening on the top of the ECM, and it has a sensor or something in there, if you get a piece of mud or ice in that little opening, it can mess up the way your 800r runs. We always have a look to make sure its cleen now.

well...my problem is after i put on my pipe y-pipe on..... lights dont work gauges ,tack,pretty much every thing...but it runs.....i notice the day before it was the lights flickering ......the beeping was delayed......any ideas guys besides astick of dynomite.........

Not sure if it's the same on 07, my 06 did that, relay on the left hand side above the clutch. there are part #'s on a previous thread sounds the same.
Sled starts and runs, no gauge cluster or lights no beep?

Inthe stator there is two coils one to run the engine and the other to run the gauges,lights,etc. 9 times out of ten its the lighting coil that causes no gauges but also check the voltage reg it can cause the same thing.
