Hi guys, i just bought a 07 M1000 153 and it has a bottom end bog and doesnt sound quite right. I had talked to a few other cat owners and they say it might just be sticky EPV valves...I know the sled has been taken care of cause i knew the owner and he took excellent care of the sled. Could this be a fouled plug or old fuel....what do ya think.

The sled starts fine and idols fine(around 1600 rpm), but when you hit the gar it doesnt seem like its all there(thats what gives me the idea that it might be a shitty plug). Open for suggestions:confused:

I got a 06 M7 and when i first bought it did the same thing. I would hit the gas and it would miss a bit then go. So i put a SLP big air horn kit into it and ran perfect ever sence. But thats a 700 not a 1000 but its worth a try.

could be you clutching. Check your Belt how high up in the secondary is it?
Like you mentioned it could be your power valve. Whens the last time you cleaned them? they could be gummed up and sticking.

Check the ground wire at the bottom of your steering post as well. This also happened to my '07 M1000 and it took forever to figure it out.

if it runs good and sounds good once you get it at higher RPM I would check the reeds...if you have a cracking or wear starting you will have bottom end RPM...have a look I suspect you will have trouble there
