07 700 RMK Need motor

Buying a low mileage 07 700 rmk with cooked motor. Should I rebuild or just buy a new shortblock?

If the crank is bad you may as well go short block route.

I think the crank is done. So where can a guy get a rebuilt shortblock for a decent price?

I would possibly question the mileage and the reason it melted down. The 700's were not known to have the normal 800 issues, so being low miled as well as melted kind of has me wondering why.

i am not knocking the machine at all cause I still have one but would want more info.

as for the new motor I would look into cvtech

Good point. I was wondering the same thing. The sled is mint with only 800 miles and the crank went. So I will ask a few questions and hopefully find out why. I heard that some failures were due to oil pump not being set properly.

Call JT"s snowmobile in New Lowell, Ont. Complete engine work done.+ warranty ! They rebuilt engines. Yes I know its in ontario but shipping is faster to Alberta than Northern ont. go figure.
