I had an 06 it was a reliable sled, they changed the motor in 07, I'm not sure if it was on all models but I have heard that the new motor was prone to blowing up? If you buy a Rev make sure you vent the clutches.

g0 with an 06. one of the best revs EVER built. huge problems with the 800r in 2007. first year on a new motor design and they have not even perfected it yet in 2010. so 800HO powertek is an awesome motor.

who cares about an extra 10hp. throw on a pipe setup and a clutch kit on a 2006 and you will be right on par with the 800r.

i didnt say the pipe would gain 10HP ? i said the 800HO is 10HP less.

what i said wass

throw on a single pipe and can = 5hp + weight savings

throw on a clutch kit

and you will be keeping right up with an 800r

If you do a little seaching on this site you will find a lot of people with 07 engine problems. If the 07 sled you are looking at has had the short block replaced you should be ok, but if not I would run not walk away!

I have a 06x I put 6300km on the engine in the last two seasons with out any problems. I like the sled so much that instead of up grading I got it rebuilt and added a Terra Alps head and got it ported.

There are dozens of posts about this topic, search a bit and you will see.
