05 Skidoo 1000 pull start issues

The pullstart on my 05 Skidoo 1000 has become very hard to pull. Especially the initial first couple tugs. Any ideas? My two 800's are super easy to pull compared to the 1000. It has recently got tougher and tougher to start.

mine is way harder to pullstart than our 800's as well..... Other than that, is it easy enough to turn over by hand? Maybe the belt is too tight? Have you changed a belt recently?

No I haven't changed the belt lately. It does seem like I'm pulling over a partly engaged clutch/belt though.
