05 scrambler 500

Ran great last ride went to load up and could not start pulled plug to check and discovered lack of spark when i turn it over the plug will spark once then quit. If I shut ignition off and recrank then one spark and then quits.
Thinkin stator but not sure how to check.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated

anyone have any idea how to check stator?
really got me puzzled as to why it consistently will spark once after ignition has been shut off completely if i just let it go back to run position then no spark period must put ignition to off

I think you might want to look for a bad connection in the wiring and especially look at the kill switch I've heard of them having problems.
