i was riding out at bighorn, quad was running good, about 2-3 hours of riding, it stuttered like some one had turned off the gas, and died. 20 minutes later it fired up and ran great for about half a mile,stuttered and died. towed back to camp. checked spark plug ,air filter , fuel line, let sit for an hour and it fired up and ran great. then it happened again , P.O.'d loaded came home WT- is going on??? please help !!

Vent hose to gas cap plugged take it off blow it out it will be good. You can try loosing the cap and you will hear suction on it and it will run without the cap

These are also famous for getting too hot (engine) and vaporizing fuel in the carb? Anyways the cure for me in a similar circumstance was remove the side panels and it did not happen anymore. Get some air moving in the engine area.

If it is not the obvious of a plugged vent line or a contaminated fuel line intake- crap in your tank.
