I'm riding my 02 Summin 800 at about 6500 ft and it is bogging out really bad and I figure it has to be with the Jetting.. Can anyone tell me what it should be jetted at for around this elevation? I just picked it up last week off of a guy in Kamloops so I'm not to sure what it is set at at the moment, but it seems really low??? Really need to get this fixed, any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Summits of that era are pretty good at compensating for elevation as the have the DPM. I used to run mine between 4000 feet up to about 9500 without any real issues. Is it running really rich? I would be looking at the clutching being a factor more than the jetting. You might want to check vent hoses and make sure everything is plugged in properly.

Try setting adjusting your clickers up and see if that helps you get a few more rpm's.

Dirty RAVE valves will present with this symptom as well.

Not discounting the jetting is wrong and I don't know the correct jet sizes for that year and altitude but I would look at these other 2 items as well.

I had that same sled and rode the same elevation use stock jets unless you have it twin piped or other motor work. I can't remember what the stock jet size is but i'm sure someone can chime in and tell you.

My 2003 800 ho is bogging out when I'm carving and when I'm at low Rpms. Also slow throttle response just had some work done to it and the mechanic put 450 jets in I have no idea why. Please help

Are you guys sure its a carb issue causing the bogging? Could be poor clutch backshifting or something like that too.
