I wouldn't be surprised to see the 3" on the 163 and possible longer RMK's
I would be just as happy with a track profile that bridges the gap between the 2.5 and 3 with a 2.75ish but with the 2.6" on the 155 I have to wonder would they dare release a 3.1"? Haha

Nothing bold about that statement the "axys" is an updated chassis and it's still not a 174x3. If polaris releases a 174x3 with that new engine and being lighter then yes it would likely beat the T3.

The one thing I don't understand is why they would discontinue the 2.5 track in the summit X. The sleds are all ordered now so it's not like it would be hard at all to do a run of some with 3" and another run with the 2.5. Sure you can get a 2.5 in an sp but there are a lot of guys that just like the X better because it makes them feel more exclusive, or has better bars and shocks, or whatever the case may be. Now they have no choice but to get a 3" or not have a summit X, which to me seems pretty dumb. I thought the whole point of snow heck was to give the customer more/better choices.

Well you couldn't get a Summit X with a 2.25 or 2" any more after 2012. So what about the guys who wanted a 2.25?
Just the evolution of the model.
They can always order the T3 X and swap out the track for a 2.5" and likely make a few bucks doing so!

Agreed, and I voted with my wallet by checking a 15 doo. I suspect I'll be following suit this year by checking a 16 poo.

You can get "taller" spindles by using the tall upper ball joint from a 2013 mx rs for about 100 bucks.

The 154" x 3" will instantaneous wheelie............As far as I can tell the new doos have ZERO instantaneous lift?? It hasnt been mentioned once in any of their marketing. What a joke!

The 174x3 on the T3 is a great feature on the Doo chassis. That way it has a better chance on not getting stuck when it continually washes out.

If you are not on the 3 inch track kick it only takes a 1/2 hour to make it 2.5 inch or 2.6 or 2.7 ? Pair of shears makes short work of the lugs.
The new track is lighter and seems to be standing up so no big deal really.
