I didn't like the stock tires on our RZR. I found a set of 26" PXT radials and put them on and they're real good for what we riding we do. Then one of my buddies bought a RZR S with the Maxxis Bighorns, and if I could get those in a 27" with stock widths that's what I would do in a heartbeat.
Sold both our quads and bought a RZR. Didn't consider a Rhino since we have no dealer here. RZR is sportier and faster, but the Rhino has it all over the RZR in utility. Everyone I know that has a Rhino loves it, just as all I talk to feel the same about the RZR.
No I don't, but if I did, I could maybe raise some S*#@ and get some info that actually helps instead of just passing on what other riders and some mechanics have told me. I don't like to see anyone have grief no matter what they ride; everyone has different wants and likes/dislikes. That's why...
Not sure about the shims but your sled will work fine on either the 1122 or 1115. The 1122 is kevlar double cog and the 1115 is PBO. 1122's run about $130 and the PBO is as mentioned $189. They have the same width and side cut angle so the ride hieght in the secondary would be the same. Standard...
Don't forget to try to the North of you up Hwy 2 to Athabasca and surrounding area. Lots of good lease roads to ride an ATV in the winter, but the sled trails could be a hic-up for the quad. Some sledders get a tad anal if the groomed sections get ripped up by ATVer's, but there are lots of...
Hey, I'm not sorry about where I ride, just sorry I don't have the available time to ride the rocks these days. We have great terrain around here, a fantastic club and all the trails you could ever want. Not to mention some of the finest boreal area in the province and one big ass river to play...
Did as you said and looks like a fine way to spoof up the FST's already good power. I had heard of this a couple years back but thought it would be a good thing to wait for some testimony. Scott provided that for me by the bucketful. Now for a longer more aggressive track
Hey I'm not suggesting that the company shouldn't come clean and ante up with the fixes. I justl believe that prevention is far better than cure. I sure as hell don't drive the bag off my Duramax with the engine and tranny cold to test the validity of GM's warranty procedures!
I heard of one 700 from '07 having a bog that was related to the ECU. As far as I know Polaris put in a whole new ECU, program etc. It was a guy from another location from where I live, and it was second hand knowledge. Just what I heard.
Does your check engine light come on? If so check your throttle body boot clamps, they could be loose or have even come off! I had a buddy that this happened to, It's no big deal to fix but it sure kills the power. The other thing it could be is the waste gate dumping too soon or staying...
Who ever told you about your warranty is correct. It would be registered with the dealer in the States and the warranty coverage is NOT transferable to Canada. Lots of guys from up here have done this with ATV's, sleds, bikes, you name it. If you saved big coin on the purchase, I hope you kept...
Has possibilities don't ya think? Some ice scratchers for the RMK concept and a bit of bodywork for avoiding track rash (I know no self respecting powder hound is gonna fall off the back anyway but..) and deflecting snow onto the heat exchanger, fuel can rack, shovel & probe, extra storage bag...
Guys: With all the talk and rants about the 800's exploding, injesting snow etc, I have talked to every service tech I can locate and have found out one very common symptom: operating temperature. Several machines have popped within 2-3 kms of the staging areas. On teardown, signs of 4 corener...
Hey Bro: try this phone # 1-888-609-5550. It may be a Factory Kiss A.. line but at least you will be heard. When I spoke to them, the gal said they didn't deal with tech stuff, but there is a record of every call recieved. I let her know what all my buds were thinking and saying, and at least...
There was a pair available on e-bay a couple days ago, but you could likely order them from a dealer for what they were listed at and the shipping costs
Depends on how much you grind your dealer on the price as to how much he 'throws in' with your deal. Also depends on what brand sled you are dealing with; Yam and BRP have higher retails and margins (for most of their lineup) than Cat or Pol do. so you may find them more willing to give up more...
Do everyone a favour and save the goofy juice 'till the sleds and vehicles are put away for the day! It's fine to know your limits, but ask yourself this: would you get into an airplane if you knew the pilot had a couple recreational cocktails but knew his limits? I doubt it. Ride sober, ride...
