Rode Quartz yesterday with no expectations and simply to scratch the itch and get the first ride done. Very light treading and even with that we had one sled limping out with some bent parts. Top of the world base was 30-50cm at best. Couple good storms and we will be into early December...
My first sled was the 1995 Touring LE. 2up seat, huge windshield and put so many miles on that thing learning to carve around fields and ride ditches. That thing never missed a beat!

I used Big Steel Box for a move/store/move situation. Worked very well and would do it again for sure. Another handy solution is Frogbox, they rent you heavy duty plastic moving boxes that stack very high and are stable. I used those for the move and the combination of the two made for an easy...
I was going to stay stock as I was sick of really loud exhaust but after one trip I decided I needed just a little bit more sound. Went with the GGB quiet muffler. Fit great, sounds really good and just enough above stock in my opinion .

Thanks to the original poster for this one. My 2020 ch!t down on me on a climb today and would not fire. I remembered this and managed to get it fired up however I think there is a larger issue as it died on me two more times and has a bad sound to it so I think there is something more major...
Used to run Earth X. They were really good and had great cranking power until I let them go dead a couple times. Once that happened they stopped working properly and eventually just died completely and wouldn’t take a charge.
Also noticed I had to crank them once quickly when it was cold to...
The methanol used for injection won’t be what is needed for sure. Not pure enough in most cases and I would hazard a guess that most of it is inhibited these days or has other chemicals blended in for hydrated and such.
SFC will carry methanol for their EFOY fuel cells that is as pure or better...
If anyone has not seen the documentary “Senna” it is worth a watch. Ayrton was very likely the greatest driver of all time but sadly his life was taken in Imola before he could get in a full career.
I use Apple TV for all of my streaming apps. Works great and can take it with you anywhere. Neither of my TV’s are “smart” so that is just what I stick with. The F1 app works great on Apple TV and on my phone.
I have been watching F1 since the early 2000’s, big Ferrari fan. Needless to say being an Oilers fan and Ferrari fan has not been easy for many years…….. . Been to races in Indianapolis and Montreal a few times back in the V10 and V8 eras, that was a spectacle!
I typically watched races on TSN...
The 2x4’s just get the deck off the truck bed by 1.5” and makes it so I don’t have to screw around getting the ramp underneath the lugs, keeps the track up nicely.
I built one this year. 8’ 3/4” plywood sitting on 4 2x4’s running width wise. Cut the sheet at 4’ and put hinges on so it folds away under my tonneau cover when I don’t need it. Also put Superglides on to keep the skis straight. Use a tie fold ramp and put it beside the sled. Has been a good...
