Haven't taken a sled anywhere but just looking at the ditches from the roads, there's been people out and haven't seen any grass or anything through the tracks. Snow definitely isn't plentiful but it's enough to ride on by the looks of it.

I ended up just taking the sensor in to Edmonton nut and bolt and one of the guys there fixed me up. It was just an M14 nut for anyone that needs to do a similar fix. Don't waste your time with Canadian Tire or Home Hardware. Couldn't find anything in there.
