2012 Pro RMK 4800km. Compression was 130 both sides last I checked about a month ago. I replaced pistons at 3800km. TPS reset when I did pistons.
The issue: when I start the sled from cold at the parking lot recently it started to idle at 2100-2200 rpm. It does this for a short amount of time...
my younger brother is looking for work, maybe he can pull up a chair and watch it ;)
if I had a trailer with a few toys in it I would definitely have one of those SPOT trackers.... theyre pretty cheap and if someone steals the trailer the cops will be able to grab them super easy and you'll be...
can i rebuild them myself or is there something about them that a shop has to do? or is just a a real b*tch to do n easier to give to a shop. $100 sounds pretty good for a rebuilt shock though
My rear shocks on my 2012 ProRMK 163 are very worn out. Can I rebuild them or send them off somewhere to get rebuilt? Or do I have to get new ones? If they cannot be rebuilt then what kind of shocks do you guys recommend? Ive read that aftermarket shocks make more of a difference on the front...
I have a 2012 RMK with 3800km. Im doing its first top end replacement. Service manual says I should hone the cylinder to allow the rings to seat properly and increase oil retention. Just wondering if this is usually done after cylinder damage, or every top end change.
Just reading through the service manual. It says turn screw clockwise to raise lever arm. Does this mean turning clockwise will increase amount of oil going into the engine?
Does RK Tek ship from canada? I didnt see a quote for those SnowX pistons. And what the general opinion on fix kits for the 12? Worth spending the money on or perhaps not all their hyped up to be?
Going to be doing the top end on my 12 Pro RMK in next week. Been reading about RKs fix kit, Mtntk fix kit, heard some people say go with stock 14-15 pistons. What did you replace your pistons with? How many miles have you put on them since then? Just doing this as a preventative rebuild. Sled...
i'll be rebuilding my 2012 rmk in the spring too! thanks for the service manual Vance. Octanee, do you have to remove the upper frame if you're only doing the pistons?
It was happening during directional changes from forward to reverse. because I noticed it in the parking lot when i was loading it. thanks for the post retiredpop. Still wondering how much play should there be in the secondary, before the bolt stops it there is just under 0.5cm of play. Should...
Hi. Bought a 2012 pro rmk recently. New to polaris sleds myself. The sled idles fine, and runs fine but when it gets enough gas to engage the clutch theres a "click" noise during engagement. Is this normal or a symptom of something worn out/needs tuning? Thanks.
I joined this forum a few years ago but had to sell my sled for financial reasons and stopped using the forum at the same time. Things have improved and I've moved to Revelstoke to sled! Just picked up a 2012 Pro RMK 163. Hit me up if theres any locals on forums. Im still a beginner on a sled...
