If BMP knows that you are at 500ft elevation the map they send you should be fine, or best bet would be just call and ask them
as far as TPS i never have had to reset or adjust mine after playing with reeds or throttle bodys and i have no issues,

i would inspect the cable and make sure its not tore anywhere that would be allowing moisture into the cable, also make sure its not pinched anywhere, and there are billet throttle blocks available i believe cr racing makes one
