152.87 is a common channel in the East Koots dating back to Tembec and CFI. 157.560 is an equally old CNI road channel. I don't think it's as common anymore, but still a good one to have programmed if you're around the East Kootenays.
We came out of Corbin yesterday around 5 pm and met a groomer coming in. Thanks god the last 2 kms were relatively smooth...the trail was a bone crusher :D
I've been running sled decks since the mid 90's and to be honest...I'd rather have a flatdeck. My main reason is for the ability to lower the center of gravity and to increase the drivability of the truck when loaded. And the wife would feel much more comfortable loading at the lower level. I...
Does anyone know of anyone selling or building aluminum flatbeds in Alberta? It'd be for a 2015 Ford F350 (shortbox) Thinking of ditching the box for the winter and hauling sleds on a flatdeck. Silverlake in Idaho makes nice ones, but I'd rather keep it semi local. TIA
I couldn't disagree more...I purchased an X-Deck this year, and although the ramp took a little getting used to...it is now my favorite ramp of the multiple decks that I've owned.
Haha...this ain't my first rodeo:D I've also built plenty of sleds in my time, so you need to sharpen up your game, as it's pretty hard so sell a salesman:) Props though...you did build a nice sled!
I used the REV rubbers in mine and they work awesome. I routered out the ribs and put a 1/4" aluminum plate in the bottom and then the Doo rubber. I've tried C & A rubbers too, but they split just like the stockers. Rev rubbers are still perfect after 3/4 of a season with them. Part # 505071779
I have a GREAT 2014 Pro RMK 800 LE that I am considering parting out. Our enclosed trailer got flipped over by the wind on Hwy 22 a couple weeks ago and sleds were in it. They were tied down, but broke free in the accident. They faired pretty well (all things considered), but the standard...
I used 2"x 4" rectangular aluminum tube - drilled a series of holes on one of the 2" faces - TIG welded some plate on either end to cap it - drilled two holes on either end of the bottom 2" face and welded some round tube spouts on them for drain spigots and bonded some threaded plumbing caps...

I'm not sure how well you know the Eureka MT area, but we were up Stryker Ridge and the group we were talking to was in Clarence Bowl (Grave Creek).
Last season we were down in the far meadows in Silver Mines, and I was talking with my wife at the top of the waterfall. Not...
IMO...there are better radios available for a similar price with far more ability. We use dual band Wouxun's...they have the ability to do UHF/VHF frequencies as well as FRS channels. So not only can you talk to your buddies, but you can use them on logging road frequencies and repeater...
