Sunset was coloring the ski when I got home so I started my sled and rode to the middle of my Front yard for some pics. Oh yah, my front yard is a large Lake that is frozen over through the winter. Here's a pic ...

Phone the Motorsports car tuner in Kamloops (across the street from the Truck canopy outfit) just before the bridge coming from downtown Kamloops. Sorry, forgot their name. They have cars in the Hot Night In the City car show every aug when I enter my sc'd Viper.
In Calgary Steve Eisenberg...
I already wrote about the emissions reason for the factory to instal a restrictive manifold - sort of a C pipe. I'm never said that any sled would gain 9-11bhp from a pipe except an M1000. The other comments were made by an idiot. The two manifolds don't look the same. As an Arctic Cat...
Bought my M1000 last in December last winter. There was an 08 sno-pro for sale, used, for $500 more. Gordo had quite a few deals last year and this year.

Wasn't the Phazer using an ABS hood (like Polaris did) back then? ABS -a harder plastic.
Arctic Cat was using the Thermoploycarbonates for their hoods, although the formula seems softer on my new M1000.

That was interesting ...
So for $30 a gallon plus $5-13 a gallon for race fuel you get a 5% hp increase. 7.5bhp on a 150bhp sled, maybe (since the write up is on a car V8). It'd require a tuning box and maybe injectors for a FI sled and a lot of changes to a carb for jetting.
Probably not...
On my daughter's M7 I was tuning and testing when the deep powder sucked me over and I 'rubbed' a tree. Unfortunately, it was the top side corner of the hood and it cracked down the back through the edge.:(
So once back in the shop I removed the insulating pad under the hood and fixed the...
Suggest that after the polish - if he didn't wax it with that 2 year stuff.
I searched and found a product called Zoop Seal that says 6 months to a year. Saves having to polish every season.

Propane is a gas so you can't "add" it to the fuel unless you run a pressurized bottle and then inject (?) the propane gas into the intake. Then you'd have a heavy Propane system on you sled.
Nitro? Nitromethanol will add huge amounts of hp but blow you engine.
Nitrous Oxide? I'd just use a...
O ring under head? Head cracked into combustion chamber?
2 cylinders running at 30mph - or 1 cylinder running?
Hose rotted and engine over heating? Broken heat exchanger?

I would ask the Dealer how the snow can get past the foam - shouldn't happen. Perhaps you have a hose off? ... a crack in the box? Perhaps a plug missing allowing air/snow to bypass the filter?
So if the factory foam is too light/thin get the dealer (or yourself) some higher density (open...
The scam/scum artists rip people off by buying low mile speedos from wrecked sleds and installing them in highmiler sleds.
Suggest you may wish to buy a new speedo or a used speedo with same miles as you had?

I know the M8s come with 153 or 162". Longer track uses more hp
The 09s have a much lighter track and are 20# lighter because of airshocks, 08s have rear air shock except for snopro.
AC shocks are using AIR and can be adjusted stiffer with tire pump. Understand that the Polaris shocks use...
Triples ran 8250 -8600rpms.
Twins don't run anywhere near that. Stock is supposed to be under 7500.
Pipes and other mods need higher rpms to make more power.
No controller on my Y piped and canned 2008 M1000. I did get the ECU firmware updated though.
These sleds are made to run lean in the MIDDLE. Idle and WOT are fine.
My buddy just added an Attitude Box and installed it couple days ago. So far it makes it run too fat and load up with any...
Gordo's Arctic Cat had a new (with warranty) 2009 M1000 for $9999 week before last. He's who I bought my M1000 from.
Suggest buying 'Y' pipe and exhaust canister immediately as the stock units are made restrictive for emissions purposes. Muffler weighs about 26# and sound like sh*t, Y pipe...
Here's my 'lucky' Avalanche experience.
Avalanche Ride – My Next Trick : Viper Nation
Definitely a very different experience. Glad those guys survived their's.
When we went into the mountains (10 miles south of my house) there was an Avalanche at the top of Goat Lake that had Blue Ice...
