So has this site just become completely useless? I went away from it for quite a while because of all the drama. Thinking of heading to Golden because it's my favorite place to go for many reasons. Is it decent for a first time ride or stay away for a bit yet? Thank you!
I have not used Dave's gear yet but I must say I was very pleased with how this guy operates. I was riding in Sicamous while he was there, and had issues with my turbo kit AGAIN. Well at the end of the day Dave took the time to look through it, and diagnose the problem for me. Very helpful...
awesome guys, appreciate the advice. lucky enough both times i have not wrecked the case. just snapped the chain.
also every chain link was broken on the outside. weird.
i can comment on TSS customer service first hand. It sucks!!! I dealt with Brando directly, and the guy was super cool but once my sled got out of their shop, and they were super busy I couldn't get any help. Been on my own since still trying to figure **** out from other guys.
i have a 14 Freeride 154 with the TSS Instaboost, and EZryde suspension. Suspension is pretty cool. Only advice I will give you from my personal experience is stay away from it. Get yourself a new summit 174 T3 or 163 T3 and turbo it later if you need it.
hey guys I have searched this all morning, and just keep finding a bunch of stupid answers like normal, and no real evidence. All I am looking for is a simple answer from someone who has a belt drive on an etec turbo? I have had my chain break twice now, and eevrything I have seen about belts...
it was raining here a week ago, and warm temps obviously so probably not that great. I was at Gorman on the weekend for 3 days, and snow was ****ty until high up. Probably 1600-1800 m so hopefully that helps.
nice report Carbon! Thanks a lot for taking the time. I may go see these guys the next year when I buy a new sled. I have never spent $13,000 somewhere, and received such ****ty service. I really don't think the TSS guys wanted to be this way but just got too busy for what they can handle...
thanks kickass, i have heard this from Jordan at Golden Motortech. He said possible reed issue, and discussed several things he likes to do when installing a turbo on etecs. I trust him so think I will bring my sled their to get fixed up before my next trip.
what a bunch of kids you guys are. I go on these forums to try, and learn something or post something that may help others, and I end up spending 15 minutes reading a bunch of crap from a bunch of whiny little grown male adults. How sad!
my settings were at 7-8 psi boost, av gas, and boost it main fuel at 130psi. I got a bunch of popping, and bogging plus check engine light all the time. I explained my story on the other post. I was at about 7000'. Dropped the main fuel to 120psi in increments to where it seemed to back fire...
thanks guys. Still having trouble. had to replace and EGT sensor, and ran great for 2 days, and now throwing engine light every pull. On the weekend I kept lowering my Fuel to Air down, and now at 120 on controller. Sled still back fires when I let off the throttle on a pull. Runs great...
i purchased the TSS Instaboost this fall. Brandon, and the crew installed it. I took it to Revy for the weekend, and it ran like ****. Was throwing check engine lights, and rev limiter. I decreased the weight on the clutch so the rev limiter was being maxed. Brought the sled back to TSS...
That would be both ways. So from your mileage that would be $388. You would be doing me a huge favor since I am travelling up to Golden late Thursday with my family, and wanting to ride Friday morning.
I may have to take you up on that if I don't have any other takers. Willing to pay $0.80/km for someone to do this for me which should be reasonable but willing to negotiate!
