I agree with what you're saying BC Sno Ghost. My point was that too many people on this thread believe that "common sense" is somehow a tangible and measurable characteristic and that it'll make up for any and all training and precautions.
Wow! I can't believe the level of stupidity in some of these comments.
Avalanche training is a "tool", just like your beacon, probe, and shovel. If you think "common sense" is all you need, you don't have any...
Next time you go sledding, just leave all that crap at home and...
Summitbound said I should PM you. I'm thinking of mounting a Pelican Case on my XP and want to know if anyone already has, and if tehy can send me some pitures of theirs.
Thanks in advance.

I agree. If I wanted to ride trails in Alberta, I wouldn't have bought a mountain sled; which means I wouldn't need to go to the mountains, which means I wouldn't need an avalanche course... Just giving some feedback; no offence either.
It's pretty easy to import anything from the US and well worth it if the dollar is close to par. I bought 3 Nissan Titans and a 350z Convertible over the past 3 years and it's been worth it everytime. ;)
I bought one of those chips and installed it in the helmet I made out of tin foil. I use it to stop the aliens from stealing my thought... Oh oh, they're trying to take them again... HELP! I NEED AN ADULT!
I just sold my Nytro MTX and I thought it was a great sled for playing around trails and fields with deep snow. The rails are tipped up at the rear, so it's more manouverable on hard packed trails. The torque was great and the 4 stoke was reliable as hell. And with the right pipe, they sound...
Try Willerton in Wainright. I just bought a new sled there and Bruce (Willerton) was great to deal with. I'm sure he can ship you whatever you need. (I try to support anyone that gives me great service, even if it's a little out of my way. JMO)
