Skidoo says the same thing and has a video about how great the XPS synthetic oil: XPS Oils and lubricants -- Engineered for your Rotax Engine - YouTube
"Nothing else is even close" quote from their video. hahaha yeah right.
Anyway I have a Doo and bought a 5 gallon jerry can full of their...
I'm loading up tonight from Calgary, could use a truck partner but definitely a group to ride with. Experienced rider, AST1, more tools than I know what to do with....
I can say the exact same only Silber! There are some solid kits out there, I am happy that I waited until the learning curve and build quality is possible to buy and go. I have solid non turbo mechanical knowledge and this isn't a nightmare like it may have been in years prior.
AV is really good gas in the respect that it is very reliable. The aviation industry cannot afford a plane going down due to a bad tank, it tests very high for consistency and quality. Everything about VP is also great except the price. Check out Alberta Fuel Distributers. They have an...
I have a cracked board right under my left foot. Also have the steering column plastic bracket broken. Welded the board and cracked again. Sled seems light though :)
It's just the angle of the steering post as it comes off the top support. XPs are probably in the 50-60 degrees where the PRO is 80+ degrees. Almost straight up and down to rotate. Before buying this sled I really looked at the chassis and the engineering that went into it. PRO's are way...
I'm coming off an XP and it was really difficult for the first day ride. It was the low speed, turn the way you want to go situations that the far grip is just too far away while you're leaning on the inside. (and I have long arms) I think I'll cut some off the bar ends to narrow it up...
Anyone out there have any tips on making the steering less vertical? Maybe even a different post that would lessen the distance the handlebars turn? (keeping the same ski rotation)
Tighter I guess. Two fingers with weight? or if you hung 10 pounds on there it'd be more? There's been a ton of talk about how loose a track can be and the repercussions. No one ever says "damn, it's not running very good or is making a noise" because the track is too tight.
I'd try tightening it some. I have a 2.5 on a 09 and it works fine but the track can't be loose enough on the drivers or it'll rub directly above the drivers, not on the heat exchanger.
I bought the Eliminator fan device and I thought it sucked. I called and they replaced it and it still sucked. The fan must not be very big as it didn't move any air. That was enough of a brand test for me. They seemed great to deal with though.
