My 15 viper works really well. I do have a lot of cake into it though. Hard to beat that 1049 engine with a good turbo kit. I’m running boost it’ kit water/air 2860 billet wheel it rocks at 10-12 boost no head shim. I’ve rode my buddies sidewinder a few times and I didn’t notice much difference...
I weighed my stock hood was 18 lbs then after the headlight delete and carbon insert it was 9lbs . Doesn’t look the best but was cheap and decent weight savings.
Re: Stock nytro vs viper vs sidewinder
Suspension set up is huge on these thumpers. I have my skid up in the upper holes front and rear so as it sits flatter and isn't jacked up high in the ass end adding weight to the front end . A z broz front shock spring and a properly sprung rear shock...
My 15 viper 162, 3" power claw, baker rear arm , raptor front shocks, boost it turbo, 36 inch front end, skinz seat, light weight battery , carbon hood mod is 620 lbs ready to ride
I built a set years ago basically copied the raze bars but for only $150 . No issues still running same bars. Check the end of this thread i gave a breakdown on what i did and parts needed Liquid heated bars
Its more than 50 lbs difference. More like 70-100 lbs.. Sidewinders hit the scale at around 640ish full of fuel I just weighed my viper before last trip with a bunch of light weight parts its 620 lbs ready to ride. That 70-100 lbs is huge when in tight trees and off camber inclines, you have to...
Ive had the baker T-motion rear arm in my viper from day one and no issues with handling. The biggest thing I noticed was when climbing it reacts easier when steering with your feet/legs . I added a z broz front spring a couple seasons ago and it helped lighten up the front.
After a few rides...
I used the 16 spindles and z broz upper 38" a arms and kept the stock lower A arms to narrow my 15 viper up to 38" . I should of went with the 36" cat kit as i want to go narrower now
Re: Belt For Turbo Yamaha
On my viper I switched to the nytro belt as it rides higher up in the secondary less belt dust and wear . Only have about 1700 km on it 10-12 pound boost
0w-30 yamalube will be fine. I run rotella t6 ow/40 full synthetic in all my bikes its cheap and works well. Like d8 said keeping your engine temps up are crucial to keep it from over fueling that should be your first priority if you want that engine to last. A 250f is going to be very under...
A 450 is a must , e start is nice when you get into those awkaward positions or are stuck and just need to burp it out of a stuck and walk beside bike . Heated bars and a comfy seat are a must as well. If you need to lower the seat height yammis and Ktms are easier to cut subframe and lower height .
Whats the issue with the 17 tunnel ? Ive got two seasons on mine no issues whatsoever. Only issue i had with the kit was a crappy brake rotor and pads otherwise its been flawless
You can use a puller like this one , princess auto carries them it worked good. You just have to use one of the caliper bolt holes to pull/push from. Just remove caliper before pushing on driveshaft
