The 2022 Rivian R1T Is the Most Remarkable Pickup We’ve Ever Driven

I read an article last week that talked about all the manufacturers providing their max range but the author noted that the manufacturers do not recommend charging these vehicles beyond 90 percent. The batteries can become dangerous when 90% is exceeded. (True?) I wonder if that's factored into...

Many new vehicle technologies going unused

In-car commerce technology... that's what I've been missing! More ways for people to try and sell me something I don't need. Perfect example: Tide Scent Booster "When your clean clothes don't smell clean". That used to be the way to tell when your clothes were actually not clean. Panoramic sun...

Here’s how valuable Canadian used vehicles are

This actually worked out well for a kid I know. Bought a brand new truck 2 years ago, changed jobs and couldn't afford the payments anymore. Sold the truck for what he paid and out from under that debt even with hail damage. He can still track his truck through Ford Pass. It's down in Arizona.

Handheld GPS...... What would you buy?

I'm always concerned about cell phone battery life when sledding and possible interference with my beacon. I have a Garmin Rino mounted on the handlebars of the sled and an InReach on the opposite side of my beacon. The batteries on these last for days. I can stop and look down at any time to...

2021 Sled Show in Edmonton - Cancelled

Hoping to get up there, walk around, impulse buy something I probably don’t need and maybe sell my old sled. Sounds like a fun Saturday to me.

    Starlink

I'm just east of Okotoks. I have neighbors 300 feet away from me with Telus and Shaw. After 10 years of trying to find someone to talk to at Shaw, I finally got through to the addressing department and was told it would be $100,000 to get their service to my house. Currently using Telus Smarthub...

    Idler wheel kit 15 T3 174?

Will the idler wheels/mounts from an XP work on a 15 XM? They will definitely bolt on but I noticed that the part numbers are different for XP and XM.

    Broken InReach Screen

Thanks Pipes! Bought his unit off of him and swapped the cover easily with a T6 torx. The plastic screen that broke is part of the front outside shell and looks like it would be very hard to replace the screen itself. Could be glued in place. Got some spare parts to keep this going for a while...

When you go to the mountains what are you looking for?

Always, the fun way back at the end of the day! Squeeze in a little more instead of jumping on a main trail. Unless it's white-out and we need the poles to know where to go.

The 700i looks really interesting. Even the 66 with InReach seems like a great idea.
