Heard Parker is great riding, would love to ride out to the Desert Bar sometime. I have rode Quartzite a few times and there is great riding there as well as Yuma.
Yup, was going to be $2000 up here for a root canal, was $480 down there and the best care and the least pain I've ever had, nevermind it was done in one day! It is US funds so with our Trudeau dollar it's a little more but still way cheaper. You are right, you just walk into Mexico like your...
Wild- I do take my machines down, that's my machine and my buddys machine. He lives there full time. I have a place in the Yuma Foothills so my machines stay down and I bring them back in spring. You can drive them on the streets down there so we ride right from the house.
Take- We walk into...
A ride we took in December from my place in Yuma, out into the desert to an old abandoned mine and what's left from an old plane crash. There is so much to see out in the desert. Even found a beacon south of Yuma towards Mexico, to summon the border patrol. ;)
Gonna head back down in March:D
Anytime from October to March or April. It's too hot to ride the rest of the year for most people. You want to stay away from the north end(Glamis) on long weekends, they can get over a 100 thousand people and it gets dangerous. Lots of machines to see and people to meet but crazy! The south end...
The south side is called Buttercup. It's between the I-8 and Mexico. I've never rode there myself but it looks like fun. It's just a bit small. The hills are bigger on the north side by the canal forsure. It's all fun though. I should be back there in March.:d
it's awesome! Have about 1100 kliks on it so far and it works great. Rode in Idaho in July at 33 degrees in the dunes there and it never got hot. Done lots of desert trail riding as well and it works great. I have a duel boost control on it, so most of the time I just leave it at 13lbs. Have...
Was in Yuma Az in December and did some dune ridin with a buddy. This is the south end of the Glamis dunes, called Gordons Well. it's right down by the I-8 hiway. Great ridin, it was 24 that day, mid December. :d
Does anyone know of or had a crank rebuilt? The shops I've talked to, do grind down only. CV-Tech doesn't do 4 cyl cranks and a new one is over a grand. Might have to bite the bullet but thought I'd see if anyone knows of a place to do a weld up and grind down repair. I've tried to reach Mots...
Have a 98 ZL500 EFI. Fuel pump was shot so I replaced it. It now pumps but only makes 20lbs of fuel pressure. The machine actually runs but is boggy down low. The machine is supposed to have 45lbs of fuel pressure. I tested the fuel pump voltage and it reads 14 plus volts until I plug in the...
Does anyone know what all is involved? I've bought in the US and imported into Canada a few times, but have never taken anything down. I know they have titles down there and it's a bit of a hassle to get one but don't know if you need one on Canadian vehicles. Is off road stuff different than...
