-1, windy and snowing fairly heavily this morning. For all you guys travelling here for the weekend, drive safe - the roads will probably be crappy through the mountains.
Tuesday's riders up Renshaw reported 8 to 10 inches of new snow. Blizzard here all night Tuesday night. Wednesday morning: -2, no wind and fairly heavy snow falling in town. Mountains are socked in with snow. Looking good for the weekend.

It's the 7th of February and no one has started this yet. Don't blame you. -29 today with bluebird skies and no wind. No new snow for the past three weeks or so and it's just like concrete out there. The good news is the trail is great and it's supposed to snow starting the middle of next...
Curtis - are you trying to pawn off your "motorcycle" on Barry now? Wont work. I dont think that will get him to Mexico this spring. Thanks anyways bunnyman.
Firefly didnt get any pictures, but said they were riding in about six to eight inches of fresh snow up Renshaw on Wednesday. Those boys always enjoy themselves sledding here. They each put on well over 100km yesterday and I think they set some kind of record for time spent in my hottub last...
I have been having the same problem. Types posts/messages perfectly from my tablet, but they are messed up if I use my laptop or my desktop. Weird. If anyone figures this out, let me know. Thanks.
Sunny and -8 this morning. Not much wind and no new snow. Roads are good. Looking forward to seeing my Edmonton firefighters group today. Baking LOTS of cookies in preparation.
No conflict of interest here. I said there was no new snow - that was the truth. In a previous post I said it was windblown - truth as well. My guests had a really good time exploring Renshaw Friday and Saturday and went home happy - truth. Sorry you didnt enjoy yourself.
Yes, Snochuk, we are doing our Family Day thing again this year. More details to follow. Did you have to rent all of the cougar den's cabins this year? Your group seems to get a bit bigger every year. Thats a good thing. Have fun.
Weather is mild, mix of sun and clouds, no new snow at this time. My guys have had fun anyways cause the conditions are good for exploring. Avalanche risk should still be considered as high. Still lots of good places to play. Trail is decent considering the mild weather.
The CAC blog didn't really say anything definite. Judging by what our guests and locals with avalanche training are saying, you are probably best to assume the avalanche risk in Renshaw is HIGH and ride accordingly. There are still lots of places to ride safely.
