Use the 509 fan and I find it works great for me. Little on the chubby side so tend to sweat quite a bit when riding and still find they dont fog up. Works good even in the cold sasky winter days as well. Just my luck I guess but I would suggest getting one if looking into something.

Hold the throttle wide open for one pull and will start if issues is flooding.

Try replacing the stator as well. I went through two VR in quick succession and then got the stator replaced and everything has been working fine since stator replaced.

Have a 2010 RMK. Same thing happened. Take it in when you get a chance, tell them to replace both Voltage Regualator and Stator. Mine was covered under warranty. Good luck!!

Anybody come up with any creative ways to cover the heat exchanger? Or find a good aftermarket fix? The Pure Polaris cover doesn't look like it would truly protect it very well. Thanks!
