When we got ours all reprogrammed that's what the tech at the dealership told us while we were having coffee was there was only about a dozen pre program versions. Maybe it's different if it's reset after? We had about 6 or 8 on one code so maybe you're right.

Pretty sure it should work switching ECM and keys. Could try every one else in your groups key and see if it works. I dunno bout the gen4 but the xm only had like 12 codes available so you had a one in 12 chance to get it lol Good lesson for everyone to go get a second key. The group we usually...
