Looks like the Two Lakes road area. There is quite a few grizzlies that roam that area, and they cover a HUGE range. a few of them are GPS collared, so we know where they are at. I wouldnt worry about any part of Kakwa being shut down because of the grizzly, i cant see that ever happening.
The new RMK wont have the same rear suspension
First of all, it'll be too heavy
second, probably kinda tough to get a tunnel around the rear suspension.
I wouldnt hold your breath for it becoming a longtrack sled, im sure someone could find a way around it, but it wont become a production rmk...
My suggestion..go test ride some if you can!! Otherwise, you will get a different opinion from everyone that posts here.
Personally I love my edge chassis rmk, and this year Ive tried the new 154xp and dragon RMK 155. IMO The XP is a great climbing sled, but it just wont sidehill or work in...
I dont know about the ring gear affecting the clutching, i assume it wouldn't make much, if any difference.
But if you want to gain some rev's put in some lighter weights and experiment a bit. Try some 10-62's if you want.
If you get a chance, try and weigh the clutch weights, cause they...
Hey guys, I know there is a sticky post up about helping out the Sparwood Families, but I havent noticed any posts up lately about STARS. Thought i would throw it out there that they have their lottery on right now and they're selling calendars and taking donations.
I'm pretty strapped for...
link didnt work "n" not "f" ;)
I'd like to go ridin sometime mid week down here before I head back to Sask. for the holidays, but its still not lookin too promising.
I found my GPS very useful for determining boundaries this weekend when riding in quartz. I did go past one sign by a few meters, but it was still well away from the actual location of the protected area on my GPS.
It comes down to the responsibility of the rider to know where they are allowed ride, most of you guys hit it right on the head, ignorance is no excuse.
It does happen accidently, thats why a quick warning by other sledders is nice, but you must show due diligence that you did everything...
Throttle-up, im lookin at gettin a vest this year. Just startin to look right now actually. Im lookin for something with really good back support. Ive been borrowing a back support when riding sometimes and it helps me a lot, so i want to buy one, but I figure if a vest will do the job id...

Lethbridge Ducks Unlimited Banquet-Nov. 21st
Right now I'm part of the Lethbridge College Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and we're having a banquet on November 21st. Just curious if there's anyone that wants to attend? There are games for the family and kids, and it helps contribute to our...
I'm gonna REALLY miss riding Kakwa this year :( , have fun, it's a rare place that still allows sledding in a VERY protected area, hope were allowed to sled there for years to come :D
Im not totally clear on the differences either, I have an 04 Escape, but it wasn't a sno-check cause I switched over to the ryde-fx shocks from some crappy ones, and I'm pretty sure that the sled came with the crappy shocks from the dealer?
BTW, PERC doesn't add any weight, its only a little...
