I'm back at work for 2 weeks, which means it will snow a lot for you FS. Me sitting at my desk for 12 hrs a day, 14 days straight is the best snow dance I know.
You're welcome. :)
I put mine on the pipe, just before the springs, where it meets the can. Seems to be the best place on the Pro. I've done the Aluminium foil trick, and used that to increase the surface area touching the pipe. It took a lot of foil to get pieces solid enough to transfer decent heat. Though, I...
Got out on Thursday with ferniesnow and sledrat403 up around the rolling hills. The fresh snow last weekend helped to hit a bit of a reset. Thanks so much for the ride Doug. I had a blast! I wish I had my GoPro with me on Thursday, as I had an awesome day. I know I left a few lines out there...
This is why I love the Raptor Triple Rate Springs so much. They are super compliant in the early stages of travel, so it helps get the sled on the edge. As the suspension travels through its range, it stiffens up. So in a sidehill you have a planted feel, but the suspension isn't collapsed, so...
Great idea. Did you just pick up the pins, or have to modify them in some way to fit. Would certainly be interested, just so I don't end up on my side in a ditch on the outside of a corner, on the trail, sometime.
How is the ProMotion working out for you? Really interested to hear your opinion on it. I'm on the fence about throwing one in. All my Doo buddies say I should do it, as they think the T-motion was a huge improvement for the Doo, but I'm concerned that the Pro will lose that on edge stability I...
Sounds like we are on the same shift. I'm off on the 21st as well, but I just need to drive from Calgary.
Too bad. Not sure how much more I'll get out this year. Wedding is going to start getting in the way.
Planning on riding Fernie on the 22nd. Will likely be an early day (early start, early finish) as we are off to Whitefish late afternoon (need to make the shipping outlet before they close at 530) for a weekend of bachelor party debauchery.
Really like that bike, except for the very odd offset instrument cluster. With a couple more years under it's belt, that FZ-09 is going to be a very deadly bike that is going to give Triumph a run for it's money on the naked triple crown.
Here's my take and what I've done to mine. I ditched the stock Springs and replaced them with the Raptor Triple Rate Springs. Much smoother ride now. Well worth the 300$. I ditched my sway bar and have always had my skis on the narrowest stance. It sucks on the trail, but who cares? Unless you...
It's already been said but stay away from Petro 94, stay away from Petro all together when it comes to sleds. The only pump fuel you should be putting in there is Shell V-Power 91. It's the only one out there that doesn't use ethanol to boost the octane rating of the fuel.
Make sure you are only going to http://www.avalanche.ca/ I had the latest bulletins page bookmarked, and that page no longer exists. They have changed it, since the weekend, so the the bulletins are all on the main page.
I haven't flown my 400 in a couple years. I'm going to need to start all over again. Guess I should haul out the Phoenix Sim again.
Would love to find a good gymnasium for getting the mCPx up in the air again too.
There are lots of guys out there that have had great success with the RK Tek kit, but I've also heard of a bunch of guys that have had problems. I haven't heard many with issues with the MTNTK Kit.
I religiously warmed up mine. But as said before, it is fine until it blows. So, I put in the fix kit this season hoping to avoid that. I'd rather put in the time and effort now (1200 miles), then wait and have to put in more money and down time mid season.
