My point being is I have tried a lot of different tire brands and when you run into really bad icy roads, it doesn’t matter what tire you have on, just need to be easier on the skinny pedal. Are some tires somewhat better on ice, for sure, but don’t expect them to keep you on the road like...
I have been running studded Duratracs on my one ton for the last three winters and in my opinion, they are a great winter tire. No they aren’t great on ice, but not terrible.
My son has been running them on his grizzly for 3 years and no punctures and he rides the ch!t out of his machine. I put them on my RZR last year and they work very well in all environments. Not cheap, but they work very well.
