I hauled 2 sleds a bunch of times this winter with no problems or hassles from DOT. I have air bags and 10 ply tires, which covers the basic limiting capabilities of a half ton and it looks right driving down the road and it handled fine.
XDecks are easy to make fit to a 5'6 box. Like you said you unbolt the legs and you can actually cut out a section of the I beam so it just bolts right back together (no drilling) and then cut and drill the ramp and your good to go. I did mine at the start of the year and it was super easy, I...
I agree! It doesn't cost anything to turn them off. If it starts good and runs good but has starting issues after it's warm, it's carb heaters. It happened to me this winter and I haven't had any issues since shutting them off.
Are your carb heaters on? Normally if it's the carb heaters it will start ok when it's cold and then start causing problems when warm and the longer you leave it the harder it will be to start (all the fuel evaporates out of the bowls). Could be your fuel pump diaphragm, if there is a hole in...
I checked to make sure the solenoid was functioning and that was it because I don't know much about the dpm. I am going to read up on the it over the summer and do some more testing. Even at full rich I don't think my fuel mileage should be that bad but who knows. Thanks Troy.
Thanks Niesly, I used a small syringe to inject oil into the block after I installed the new pump, topped up my oil tank and let it sit over night. That would suck to strip that gear off and if I hadn't just installed a short block I probably wouldn't have known about that plastic gear.
Probably not going to get out again this year which sucks but I will be ready for next year and I did get my new VForce put in but haven't put any miles on yet to see if it made any difference or not.
Well, new oil pump and new reeds are installed. It is not fun removing and installing the oil pump while the engine is in!! To bad I'm probably not going to get out again this year. Hopefully my problems are solved. Thanks for the help farmerboy
If he is a brp mechanic he will check it before he puts the clutch on. This should take you to the thread on it. I went threw this a little while ago.

Try putting an add on Kijiji, that's where I found mine.
Oh ya, I checked the fuel pump diaphragm to make sure it wasn't leaking straight into the crank case threw the vacuume line and I checked to make sure my choke wasn't a little bit on. I'm stumped.
