The second bowl (Sugarbowl) looks fairly nasty from the top,,, but once in it has lots of room to play,, the far west wall is bad for avalances,,,,,,, If I get the 670 going before next weekend I might go into the bowl. Ended up working this weekend due to all the cold weather over the past week.
into the first saddle is always lacking snow from the high winds there,,,,,,, I think you could be blown off your sled there...... in the back end of the Bowl could be a avalance area,,,,, I have tried to get in on the littlehorn trail and we thought we might have to spend the night as one hill...
11 km or so,,,,, if you drop into the Sugarbowl,,,,, you need 600cc or better to get out,,,,,,,, with the winds you will have a tough time in the boulders and 1st saddle. will be very hard pack or no snow on shale.
was just north of nordegg today,,,,,, maybe an inch of fresh,,,,,,,, 1.5 - 3 feet of powder,, very little base though,,,,, was a good workout getting my sons sled unstuck alot,,,,,, not sure if you are going into the bowl or not??? saw lots of snow blowing off the tops of the mnts, as per usual...

we tried to get into Ranger on the 26th,,,,,,,,, awful,,,,,, we need way more than a foot of snow,, made it into the narrow valley and was faced with pure rock, ice in creek,,,,, turened around and got out of there. a quad had fallen through ice on ram,,, must have winched out as it was 3 to 4...
