This was with everything :) Battery was 6 kg. Rest was starter engine, ring gear on the clutch, cables, brackets and so on. All 3 of the scales at my dealer did show 12 kg blank with everything needed.
BUT it is a pain in the but to remove everything! You have to take of seat, fuel tank...
I have a 13 ltd and I removed my battery after first season. I was sick and tired of having to take my key out, or my battery was dead after a few days of non riding. And after removing everything, I did put it on a scale to weigh it. 12 kg!
There is a guy on snowest that claims he have seen the new cats out for testing and he says polaris has something to fear, cause there is something new coming!
My dealer work shop guys says it is a fuel problem. They get to much fuel on low RPM`s and flooding the sled. That`s why you have to flip the throttle a couple of times to clear it up, before it works like normal again.
They say that the problem is not fuel related, TSS related, oil or air temp...
Some say that the chain case and oil reservoir are made for the 1100T models and don`t need to be that big for the 800`s.
I wish I had the normal chain case cover and a separate oil reservoir.
Yes the big thing on the 800`s are probably the lightest part on the sled, but I wish I had it old...
Just to make sure, you haven`t unplugged the main wires from the sled after having the hood of? And forgot to put it back in? Cause you can run the sled with the wire connectors put back together :P
Mine at the moment. A 153 LTD. BDX hood, new set of bars going on and some rigid lights.
No serious mods this season, but I am thinking of the ice age promotion and bdx front suspension for next season!
This did happen to 3 of the sleds that I know of. One with 300 km on it, one with 2600 km on it and mine when it had 150 km on it. Never got rid of the problem. No matter how hard I push the locking part down, it always kept falling down.
Have sent me over the bars a few times, made me bend my...
Got these babies from Rigid today, waiting on the handlebar mounts from Rigid to mount on my 7/8 stock handlebars :)
Got the BDX hood the other day and my new ZR 8000 RR handlebars. Going on with the already mounted Zbroz T top I have to remove the telescopic riser.
Going on without the mountain...
They are the Black Diamond Xtreme boards. They are in one way a Skinz board, but they are developed out of the Skinz ones. These boards does not have round tubing against the tunnel as the Skinz ones have :) These ones sits flat against the tunnel sides, have no traction screws, but instead got...
No bigger mods for me this summer except for a diet for me, and then my sled :D
Have removed the e-start on my 13 M800 LTD and that was exactly 12 kilos. Have ordered a new BDX hood, witch I will be the first one in Norway to do, that will be fun!
4,5 kilos less there too. Then I have lost...
I did the telescopic delete from Zbroz last season and love it! Last season I have used Skinz 4" bars with a 2" riser.
Now I am going for new stock handlebars with a 6" stock cat riser :)
The last setup had to many failure points that could go wrong.
Love to have the opportunity to move my bars...
No bigger mods here. My sled budget went over too a fixing up my house budget. New windows, new kitchen and electrical work sucked out my budget :(
The only new mods my sled is going to get is some vinyl and a new bar setup from RSI. Nothing else :/
That is simply brilliant! If I lived in the states I would be there in a second for you guys to work with that on my sled! That is so much better than the stupid tether cord :D
