Update. We rode the trails west of Bearberry on Tuesday. Snow was a bit skinny but enough to ride especially once you get onto the pipeline. Rode Caroline north trails on Wednesday. There was a couple inches new snow. Followed map of trail system posted on David Thompson Snow Riders.

I just looked at this in more depth. Found out there are lots of different lubricants needed. Also main gear box oil amount needed can be anywhere from 200 -14000 litres. New oil warranty is 10 years minimum lifetime but initially the oil used only lasted a year or two. I'm still not convinced...

If you pull the ethanol out of it somehow you will end up with a lower octane fuel because ethanol raises octane. I have no idea how much 10% ethanol raises the octane though. Then you will have to add some sort of additive to boost the octane again. Friggin' Trudeau.
