Rode mine this past weekend. Pretty similar to the 850 sportsman, a little more torque. Managed to hit 75 on the speedo, not bad so far, see when it opens up a bit what it will do. I ride with a bud that has a 1000 outty with some work done to it, will let you know how they compare.
I think its the stupidest spot ever, cant figure what they were thinking. My 1000 and the wifes 850 sound identical too. I guess not everything can be perfect. The size of the pod too is ugly, I guess they made it that size to house the GPS unit that the sleds currently use. Going on a big ride...
picked up my 1000 sportsman last week and my wifes new 850 as well. We raced them down the road, take a guess how close they are. I can tell you this, my 850 scrammy is faster than my new 1000, but I will try again after I put 2-300 miles on the 1000 unless the scrammy sells first. Love Polaris...
Anyone hunt this area? I have hunted 350 for a few years but am going to try 351 this season, as it is 33% better for moose kill.My question is where is a good place to set up camp that is accessible from 33?Thanks gents.
Doesn't matter what you do it doesn't ride the same. Like I said once you actually drive the machines and for more than 10 minutes, your decision should become easier.
I have actually owned both, power is better on the 850, more similar to the 1000 can am, Polaris ride is far better, but reliability is not as good on the Polaris, ie: bushings, ball joints. Brakes on the can am are terrible as well as the clutches. Ride them both and the decision will be more...
No worries Mark we will ride this area this summer anyways. Did you decide if you are going to join us on the pierceland rally? Maiden voyage for the 900.
A fellow I ride with all the time has a new 570 with eps and what a great machine for the value. He has close to 600 miles on it with zero issues. Very good machine do not hesitate to purchase one. The only upgrades he has done are 26" zillas on Polaris aftermarket rims. Enjoy the riding.
I have the triangle atv snorkle kit on my 2013 850 scrambler. Works good, super tight fit tho and cant pull your front/top rack off when snorkles installed.
I have the 2013 850 scrambler with a few add ons. This machine is very fast. I have had no issues with it this far and i have upwards of 500 miles now.
The only downfall is how dirty you get on it, but i put fender flares/extensions and it does make a huge difference.
I will be upgrading soon...
