I was told it may be a bad coolant temp sensor shutting off the fuel pump
after pulling out a plug and putting gas in the cylinder it started after a few pulls and ran after that

also the front cooling rad is part of the tunnel so it could possably be cracked through under the stering post
it is possible to weld if that is the case but again the motor probably has to come out
you could pressure it up with air and look for bubbles
if you cant do most of the work yourself...

mine did that last winter and it might have been that switch not sure as it did eventualy start after we wiggled and checked everything
