Breant Linderman took it took a guy in Hillspring...contact Arctic Edge..I dont have his number handy but check the net and he is on there....those seats are crap for zippers!
pretty well 30 lbs across the board...but..there is no replacement for displacement....now saying that..the 2010 hp is real close to the 1000....the 1000 can really bark when you add some mods down the road...most dont ride full out all the time and the m8 has alot of power and is nice and...
they let hot air out and keep the vents on the side of the dash from getting too hot and melting snow on them...those vents are not about letting air in as much as they are about letting hot air escape from under the hood..more venting to let the air out is a must..the top vents get wet becuase...
few more pics...added a new zipper to replace the cheap Boss seat zipper..replaced plug wires and wrapped them to protect rubbing...now the only thing is to add some BLACK back into my faded seat!!!! any thoughts...
p.s...Catmando..if you look at all the venting I did and the bottom pic shows...
Brent Linderman at Arctic Edge just finished helping me with a few things that needed to be updated to make my M1000 run just right..in the deep Revy snow and long steep sidehills I needed more air intake and less exhaust. We added more venting in the hood, intake, bulkhead, added Speedwerx...
I am not sure if any ratio matters. The facts are the facts and we are outnumbered by skiers by a long shot. Heli skiers maybe we outnumber your right. Anyways I didn't come for a fight I realize the media sells papers based on making the storys interesting..
There are some interesting spots in the back of the South Castle...three lakes up there two I fish each summer and one that does not have fish....the hiking trails in are too steep and treed but i have hiked a back route to both that could be rideable for the right group..I am thinking one way...
I wear a klim tek vest, beacon, and ABS pack every ride and so does my wife and riding pals. I dont feel right without it now and would never go without...FYI its also a nice warm layer on a cold windy day...there may be a little restriction in movement but you get used to it
The stock intake is one of the best if you ride deep snow like Revy...it just needs some touching up, the slp intake helps get more air flowing, more venting in the dash, panels, bulkhead...and if you ride in deep make sure you are not breathing in exhaust..seal that off..
It just seems wrong to agree with LHF but I am not sure on this one. A 180 kit on a heavier sled and a 1000 will, "not come close". I will take that bet..as a owner of both M8 and M1000
